Because of the church’s status as a National Historic Landmark, no changes to the interior appearance can be made. As a result, the new organ will be placed in the existing organ chamber, whose walls and grillework will be modified to improve the acoustical coupling of the chamber with the church. MacDonald & Mack is the architect for the project, and Threshold Acoustics is advising on acoustical matters.
